ABOUT : Cherry Blossom Cottage!
Cherry Blossom Cottage is a self contained short stay holiday cottage on a 1/4 of an acre set in the town of Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt. Cherry Blossom Cottage was built in 1940 and has been lovingly restored to what it is today!
We are over 1000 metres above sea level which creates four fantastic seasons ! Spring and Summer bring our fresh produce for visitors such as Stone fruit and strawberry's ,
Autumn brings cool nights and spectacular colour as our trees prepare for winter!
Winter is exciting with real frosts ,cold nights, warm winter fires and sometimes snow!
You’ll love Cherry Blossom Cottage for its county feel - we offer a comfy bed, modern county kitchen, with traditional high ceilings, rustic timber floors and a great fire place. Cherry Blossom Cottage has a beautiful outdoor area with heated Spa for the winter Months.
Perfect for a soak after a long day of wine tasting .
We cater for a romantic weekend away for a couple or up to 4 couples.We also welcome Girls weekends away and boys golf weekends(as the golf club is not far away).
OUR ROOMS
Cherry Blossom Cottage has 4 large bedrooms- The veranda suite with its own sitting area and a Queen size bed, The Country style front room with a Queen size bed , The Black and White French inspired room with a Queen size bed, and our Country king size bedroom with a king size bed. All Beds have electric blankets for the chilly winters nights although the fire place in the Blue room will warm the whole house!

We Welcome our guests to experience a 1940 Country craft Cottage with old wares, antique and quirky furniture and Nik Knacks, and a collection of Teddy Bears and country Craft dolls.
Staying at Cherry Blossom Cottage AS OUR GUESTS we offer a more upmarket environment in a cozy themed Country cottage, comfortable bed with hand chosen fresh clean Linen with little extras that you wouldn't get with just staying in a BASIC motel.
We have just added our luxurious heated outdoor spa for those weary evenings after a big day out of wine tasting.
Our aim is to give you and your friends/Family a taste of good old Country Hospitality and a memorable stay while exploring the Granite Belt!

House Rules!
-Please contact me with any problems- we may be able to sort things out straight away.
-No Smoking in the Cottage! We have a designated area at the blue garden setting out the back.
-Please respect our rules of no eating or drinking in the Lounge area of the cottage!
-No Parties or Events! If you have friends staying elsewhere- please meet them out as we don’t encourage parties in our cottage.
-No outside guests or extra overnight guests (without approval). This complies with our health and safety rules( and our council certification). We are at capacity with 8 guests and only have seating for 8 guests .
-No illegal Activities (this includes marijuana)
-Check in after 2pm (unless pre organized and approved)
-Check out 1000am (unless pre organized and approved)
-No Pets ! ( unless pre approved)
-
antiques furnishings or Nik knacks around the cottage touched / broken will be required to be payed for if disrespected or damaged .
-Please respect our neighbours by keeping down any noise! Noise curfew 9pm- 7am
-Treat our cottage and its contents with the highest respect and leave it in a tidy manor when checking out!
-We ask that you clean up and put away all dishes, glasses and cooking items that you have used and put them away as you found them! Respectfully clean up after yourself by wiping down benches and cooktops- this helps keep everyone healthy by reducing the spread of viruses.
On departure morning make sure the dishwasher is on early as it takes 2hrs to run a cycle - otherwise do it the night before and then hand wash your breakfast dishes and put away all plates cups and cooking things. Wipe down benches. If dishwasher is left running and unpacked an extra charge will apply ( as the sign says on the dishwasher).
- If something breaks/ light bulb needs replacing– please let us know so we can replace it for our next guests( I have a note book on the fridge if you wish to write it down so we see it or just send me a text message).
-Take out your kitchen rubbish and place it in bins in the carport. This helps reduce the spread of nasty germs and smells and keeps the ants away.
Garden

The garden at Cherry Blossom Cottage is full of fruit trees and deciduous trees. They change colour with the different seasons! We also have a vegetable garden with some herbs and vegetables of the season- please feel free to pick some for your own use!
Daily Housekeeping
As Cherry Blossom Cottage is a self contained short stay holiday cottage- we supply you with sheets ( with an option during the winter months of June to August of Warm and cosy Flannelette Sheets)and soft towels. During Winter we ask that you hang up your towel to dry during your stay as there is no daily housekeeping! We also ask that you leave the house tidy and all kitchen items that are used please clean and put away as you found them!
We have 2 large bins out side for rubbish collection- recycle and basic rubbish - we ask that you take out all rubbish and bottles to these bins on departing !
Breakfast
Cherry Blossom Cottage is a self contained House on the Granite Belt-you have a choice of making your own breakfast or some guests cant resist our fresh local produce and prefer to have breakfast at one of our many cafes
Fire place
At Cherry Blossom Cottage we will supply you with kindling and wood for your first fire- then you will have to visit the wood pile outside to restock! We ask that you don't over stock the fire and the wood is kept inside the grate away from the glass door to prevent any accidents or cracked glass- we also supply fire lighters- you should only require one per lighting!

Cancellations and Refunds Policy
if you wish to change any details of your booking please contact us directly, we will do our best to accommodate your request. All payments and deposits are non -refundable. However, bookings are transferable within a 6 month period providing the alteration is made more than 30 days prior to original arrival date. No alterations can be made less than 30 days prior to arrival date. Deposits are non refundable.
A credit note will be given-where applicable and a date for transfer of your booking can be worked out within the 6 month period based on availability.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for unforseen circumstances(illness, accident or bereavement).
Australia post is one of many travel insurers.
Deposits and payments
At the time of reservation a deposit is paid to secure your booking. The balance is paid 14 days prior to arrival-preferred payment is direct debit or paypal. Deposits are non refundable. Please see Cancellations and Refund policy.
We Have Free WiFi at Cherry Blossom Cottage- a code will be issued on arrival!
We have Netflix for your nights curled up on the couch in front of the fire!

Cultural things to see!
A visit to the Stanthorpe Museum to learn the history of the area including Quarte Pot creek which runs right though the town!
Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery is worth a visit-The exhibits change regularly, and those on display are generally of a very high standard.
Wineries Tour
A visit to Cherry Blossom Cottage must include one of our wonderful wine tours of the area- with over 40 wineries a tour guide to drive you- why not try all the wines! You can choose from a half day tour or a full day tour- from a small mini bus to a luxurious van- its up to you!
For those of you who like Beer- we have 2 breweries in the area that make craft beer- defiantly worth a visit
Leisure Activities
Hiking is very popular in the Stanthorpe region as we have many National parks
Stanthorpe Golf Club is worth a visit if you like playing Golf- It is a very relaxed course with 18 holes- the staff are very helpful and friendly and your welcome to stay and have a drink after the game at the bar!
Donnelly's Castle is just out of town great fun for adults and kids alike to explore enormous boulders and caves and a spectacular lookout. Wood BBQ and toilets and picnic tables on site.
national parks and Birds
Girraween National Park is an area of the Granite Belt in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia reserved as a national park. Girraween is known for its spectacular flowers, dramatic landscapes and unique wildlife. Bushwalking and rock climbing are the most popular activities in the park.
Queen Mary Falls
The Queen Mary Falls is a plunge waterfall on the Spring Creek that is located in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia. The falls are situated in the Main Range National Park and descend 40 metres from the McPherson Range near the Queensland/New South Wales border. They are located 50 kilometres south-east of Warwick and 10 kilometres east of the town of Killarney.

“Lovely Country Style Cottage”
I spent 2 nights at Cherry Blossom Cottage and was very impressed, everything was very clean, tidy, and had a real country cottage look and feel about it. I stayed in the Verandah room and the bed was nice and comfy and I really loved the fireplace in the lounge room. I had the pleasure of visiting some great wineries and O'Maras pub during my stay and the hosts-were lovely and made me feel at home. Very highly recommended
